30 acts for A Dal 2016 revealed in Hungary!

MTVA, the Hungarian national broadcaster, has revealed the names of the 30 participants of A Dal 2016. 

We’ll see several returns for the 2016 edition of the Hungarian national selection, including a previous representative.

 

András returns

András Kállay-Saunders, the Hungarian representative for the 2014 contest in Copenhagen with the song “Running,” will return with his band to the national selection and another go at Eurovision.

Kallay-Saunders let his fans know that he is competing in A Dal on Twitter. He introduced his band and their song “Who we are” with several enthusiastic tweets.

 

Other previous A Dal contestants are trying to make it this year, including Ív, Bálint Gájer, Passed, and Reni Tolvai.

 

The 30 acts

These are the acts that will compete to represent Hungary in Stockholm next year:

  16. Kállay Saunders Band – Who We Are

MTVA has also revealed the names of the jurors.  Pierrot, Zséda, Károly Freinreisz, and Miklós Both will be in charge of the jury vote, while Csilla Tatár and Levente Harsányi will once again be the show presenters.

 

The selection process

There will be three quarter finals and two semi finals during A Dal 2016.  The singers will compete in one of the three quarter finals on January 23, 30 and February 6.  After that, the contestants who make it to the semi-finals will participate either in Semi-final 1 on February 13 or in Semi-final 2 on February 20.  The final will take place on February 27.

 

Boggie represented Hungary in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, ending in the 20th place in the final with 19 points.
