MTVA (Media Service Support and Asset Management Fund) and Hungarian television channel, MTV, have announced the rules for the upcoming 2014 edition of “A Dal.”

For the third year in a row, the winner of “A Dal” will go on to represent Hungary in the Eurovision Song Contest.

“A Dal 2014” will consist of two semi-finals, followed by a grand final.  Dates have not been determined yet, but the shows are set to air in early 2014.

Participants of the semi-finals will be chosen by a pre-jury, while qualifiers to the final will be determined by a combination of the votes from the jury and audience televotes.  The winner of the grand final will use the same scoring system.

Entries can be submitted to MTVA until Sunday, December 1 at midnight.

Songs can be submitted with lyrics in Hungarian, English, or any language of the official national and ethnic minorities living in Hungary.

The submission form to participate can be found here.  Also, the full set of rules can be downloaded here.

More information about the submission process and  “A Dal” can be found here.
