With the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 having just finished, Albania is the first country to choose their entry for Junior Eurovision 2015.

Mishela Rapo will represent her country at Junior Eurovision in Sofia, Bulgaria in November.

Thirteen acts competed

Mishela Rapo competed against thirteen other acts in Festivali i 51-të I Kënges për Fëmije on Tuesday night, and was chosen to represent Albania at Junior Eurovision with the song “Dambaje”.

The composer of “Dambaje” is Adrian Hila, known to Eurovision fans for being the composer of three of Albania’s Eurovision entries (2005, 2007, 2008). Mishela Rapo co-wrote the lyrics, along with Pandi Laco.

Two former Eurovision entrants, Olta Boka (2008) and Juliana Pasha (2010) were part of the five member jury that selected Mishela as the winner. Kejsi Tola (2009) was also present at the show to perform “Carry Me In Your Dreams” as part of the interval act.

Second attempt

This was Mishela’s second time to attempt to represent Albania at Junior Eurovision. In 2012, she took part in the Albanian selection with the song “Mamma Mia”.

2015 will be the second time that Albania will compete at Junior Eurovision. The country previously participated in Junior Eurovision 2012 with Igzidora Gjeta and the song “Kam Një Këngë Vetëm Për Ju”, which finished in twelfth place.

Junior Eurovision 2015 will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria on November 21. Watch the Albanian entry, “Dambaje”, below.
