Armenia's Genealogy host their first press conference
Armenia’s supergroup for Eurovision, Genealogy, gathered together on April 27 for their first press conference in Yerevan, Armenia.
An audience of bloggers, photographers and journalists got the chance to ask questions about Genealogy’s preparation for Eurovision.
On how it feels to represent Armenia:
“We just want to make all Armenians around the world proud.”
On their stage performance:
“It will be a beautiful show with a minimalistic approach and rich graphics with Armenian elements.”
On their relationship as a group:
“From the first second of our meeting we were connected with the strong power of music. Our genetics and Armenian blood are the key factors that unite us, not only as a music band but also, as a family.”
On Genealogy’s longevity as a group:
“Our connection is growing stronger with time”.
During the press conference, Tamar Kaprelian performed a small part of ABBA’s “Waterloo” a Capella, highlighting the song as one of her favourites from Eurovision.
The press conference ended with the group performing a small part of their Eurovision song, “Face The Shadow”.
Genealogy will represent Armenia at the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. They will perform in the first semi-final on May 19.
