Axel Hirsoux will represent Belgium!
After the six artists performed their entries for Eurovision 2014 for the Belgian audience, Axel Hirsoux won Eurosong 2014 with the song “Mother” in a landslide victory. This means that he will represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014.
This was determined by the results of 50% televote and 50% from the votes of seven international juries: the Netherlands, Belarus, Ireland, Denmark, Macedonia, Azerbaijan, and Spain. Axel Hirsoux received the top points from both.
Before the results were announced, Ruslana took to the stage to speak about the Ukrainian crisis and perform two of her hits: “Wild Dances” and “This is Euphoria.”
