Basim to deliver the voting results from Denmark in Eurovision 2015!
Danish national broadcaster DR has announced that it will be last year’s Danish representative Basim who will reveal how the Danes have voted in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015.
He replaces actress Sofie Lassen-Kahlke who has handed out the votes in the previous two years.
Basim won the Danish national final in 2014 and the right to represent his country for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 on home soil in Copenhagen. Having won the year before, Denmark was directly qualified for the Grand Final, where Basim scored 74 points, placing ninth with his “Cliché Love Song.”
“It will be amazing to get to announce the Danish votes! I’m looking forward to watching the show in Austria and hope that Denmark will be in the final this year too,” Basim said to dr.dk.
Denmark and its representatives Anti Social Media will perform as song number 13 in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 on May 19.
