Danish TV-host auditions for Eurovision 2014
As the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 gets closer and closer, speculation about who will host the show continues.
Several names have been discussed and rumored in the Danish media. One consistent name is actress and TV-host Christiane Schaumburg Müller.
Wanted the job from the start
Emmelie de Forest had barely won for Denmark before Christiane excitingly tweeted about wanting the host job.

But, as early as 5 days ago, she commented that DR, the 2014 host broadcaster, had not contacted her yet. She felt that it was getting late in the planning process and was losing the ability to influence the content of the show, should she get selected.
Auditioned at DR
However, that has now changed. Today, Christiane commented to Danish tabloid Ekstra Bladet that she has auditioned for DR. “My casting was fantastic,” she said. “It’s all about whether or not you like what I do. I contribute with dance, comedy and song. It’s obvious that if you want me, you want a glam and spectacular show.”
Christiane does not know when she will get an answer from DR, giving no clues as to when the host(s) will be revealed. It is also conflicting with jobs she already accepted because of the late audition. “My calendar actually doesn’t look very good, but I’ll cross that bridge when I get there.”
As a previous host of the Danish Dancing with the Stars and other TV-shows, Christiane has experience. Another interesting point is her bachelor degree in French and Communication. However, it is doubtful that DR appreciates her talking to a tabloid about the subject.
