Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2015 songs available two weeks in advance
While the national selection for Denmark, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2015, will not air until February 7, the songs will be available to the public on January 26, two weeks in advance.
The songs will be uploaded to Youtube and streaming services, along with the release of the CD.
In previous years, only short previews were made available of each participating song, with the full versions saved for the live broadcast. But now, the songs will be released when the artists and song names are announced on January 26.
According to the DR Head of Entertainment, Jan Lagermand Lundme, the move is done to give people the chance to get to know the songs before the live broadcast. “We are doing it to make sure we are sending the right song to Austria,” he said to dr.dk. The change is a part of the rebranding that the Danish national selection has undergone for 2015.
At the same time, DR has announced that the 10 participants for the upcoming show have been selected. In September, 687 songs were submitted for consideration. It was also revealed that last year’s winner, Basim, will return as a special guest to entertain.
As previous years, all songs will be available on the official CD.
