David Lindgren and Wiktoria go directly to Swedish final!

The second semi-final of four of the Swedish selection Melodifestivalen aired tonight from Malmö, with seven new songs competing for two spots in the final and two spots in the second chance show.

 

The line-up

01. David Lindgren – We are Your Tomorrow

02. Victor och Natten – 100%

03. Molly Pettersson Hammar – Hunger

04. Isa – I Will Wait

05. Krista Siegfrids – Faller

06. Patrik Isaksson, Tommy Nilsson & Uno Svenningsson – Håll mitt hjärta hårt

07. Wiktoria – Save Me

 

First two eliminated

Following the performances, the first two acts had to be eliminated. In last place came Patrik Isaksson, Tommy Nilsson & Uno Svenningsson, followed by Victor och Natten in sixth place.

 

Two more for the final

The Swedes got to continue their voting, until the final results were revealed. David Lindgren and Wiktoria got the two tickets to the final, while Molly Pettersson Hammar and Isa got to go to the second chance show. Unfortunately, that meant Krista Siegfrids, who was on break from her hosting job at the Finnish UMK 2016, was eliminated, coming in fifth place.

Voting record broken – again

Last week, the record for the most votes cast ever was broken in the first semi-final, and tonight, it happened again. In total, 4.647.934 votes were cast, compared to 4.389.687 last week.

 

Melodifestivalen continues next week, with the third semi-final.
