The lights of the Stockholm stage are still far in the future, but already rumors are flying in the Netherlands about their future representative.

It has been reported in Dutch newspaper Metro that sources close to AVROTROS have revealed that Douwe Bob will represent the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016.

Douwe Bob is a 22 year-old singer-songwriter. In 2012, he won the contest, “The Best Singer-Songwriter in the Netherlands”. Currently, his album, Pass It On, is number one in the Dutch charts.

AVROTROS has not commented on the rumors, but according to Dutch Eurovision commentator Jan Smit, the broadcaster is not thinking about anything concerning Eurovision until 2016. Douwe Bob has also supposedly stated that he does not like the fuss surrounding Eurovision.

Earlier rumors said that 28 year-old singer-songwriter Dotan was the favorite.
