The Eurovision Song Contest 2014 is almost here!

We will be on the spot for two weeks full of rehearsals, performances, press conferences, events, and of course the three big live shows and their aftermath.

First rehearsals: Closed – Live blogging

The closed rehearsals of the countries performing in the Semi-Finals take place from Monday April 28, until Wednesday April 30.

The closed rehearsals of the Big 5 and Denmark take place on Sunday, May 4.

The EBU does not allow any press in the arena during the first rehearsals, and does not allow taping or photographing of the screens showing the rehearsals in the press center. The same applies to audio.

  • We will be live blogging on escreporter.com from the press center, describing our first impressions of the artists and their first time on the Eurovision stage. Unfortunately, we will not be able to live blog from the rehearsals on Tuesday, April 29.

Second rehearsals: Open – Live blogging and rehearsal video and photos

The second rehearsals for the countries taking part in the Semi-Finals will take place on Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3.

The second rehearsals for the Big 5 and Denmark will take place on Sunday, May 4.

  • We will be live blogging on escreporter.com, and will be posting rehearsals videos as soon as we upload them, along with pictures from inside the venue.

The first dress rehearsals

Semi-Final 1: Monday, May 5, 15:00 CET.
Semi-Final 2: Wednesday, May 7, 15:00 CET.
Grand Final: Friday, May 9, 14:00 CET.

The first dress rehearsals are the first time each show will be run through, from start to end, with the artists wearing their performance outfits.

It’s the first look at how the shows will be opened, what the hosts will do and say, what the interval acts will be like, and much more.

  • We will be live blogging from inside the venue on escreporter.com, describing the events as they happen, and once the shows are over, we will have photos and video.
