Euro Fan Café returns in Copenhagen!
The Euro Fan Café returns in Copenhagen, moving into the historic cultural venue Huset KBH at Magstræde in the center of Copenhagen.
The Fan Café is open to everyone and an alternative to the EuroClub, where accreditation is required.
A culturally significant venue
Opened in the 1970’s, the venue is a culturally significant part of Copenhagen, being the first “culture house” in Denmark, a place for creative freedom and exploration within music, theater, movies, and poetry.
Having its roots in the hippie movement, Huset has gone through many changes and musical styles, through punk, new wave, and jazz, hosting part of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival. In their early careers, bands such as Red Hot Chilli Peppers, D.A.D., and Radiohead also played here.
A Eurovision party center
Now, Huset welcomes yet another change as it opens its doors to the colorful history of Eurovision. According to the head of OGAE Denmark, Johann Sørensen, the venue will be full of unique events and activities.
Rick Jacobs of 12points.tv is assigned as project manager for the second year in a row, so we will probably see much more of the many diverse activities that took place at the fan café in Malmö last year. From big parties to Eurovision quizzes, Eurovision-oke, and surprise appearances by Eurovision stars.
Right at Eurovision Village
Huset is conveniently located at Magstræde 13, just a quick 100 meter stroll from Eurovision Village at Gammeltorv/Nytorv on the Fan Mile.
The café will open on April 28 and will stay open until May 10.
