EuroClub welcomes stars and fans
Last night, this year’s EuroClub at Slagthuset in Malmö was opened, featuring surprise guests and performers.
Directly after the Opening Ceremony at the Malmö Opera, accredited press, fans, and delegations were invited for the official opening party of the EuroClub at Slagthuset. Transportation to the EuroClub was provided free of charge for the accredited, as well as a mass of food and drink choices.
Many artists from Eurovision 2013 were in attendance: Valentina Monetta (San Marino), Hannah Mancini (Slovenia), Moje 3 (Serbia), Moran Mazor (Israel), Who See & Nina Žižić (Montenegro), Aliona Moon (Moldova), Ryan Dolan (Ireland), Takasa (Switzerland), Elitsa & Stoyan (Bulgaria), Eythor Ingi (Iceland), and Adrian Lulgjuraj (Albania). Also attending were Pasha Parfeny (Moldova 2012 and composer of Moldova 2013), Glen Vella (Malta 2011), Bobbysocks! (Eurovision 1985 winner), Thomas G:son (composer of Georgia 2013 and Eurovision winner 2012), and show producer Christer Björkman.
The show kicked off when, singer, Melodifestivalen veteran, and host Marie Serneholt took the stage to officially open the EuroClub. She continued her hosting duties by introducing the night’s musical acts, beginning with the backup singers of Melodifestivalen singing the hits of Eurovision.
Next up was ex-Alcazar member, Magnus Carlsson, who sang the hits of Alcazar, followed by Robin Stjernberg, who performed his Eurovision 2012 entry, “You.”
The surprise performer for the night was David Lindgren. Lindgren competed in Melodifestivalen 2012 with the song, “Shout It Out,” and in 2013 with “Skyline,” managing to make it to the final both times.
The music continued on, all night, until closing at 4:00.
The EuroClub will host numerous performing artists every night this week, including parties directly after each semifinal, and concluding with the closing party after the Grand Final on Saturday.
