  • Uzari is a Belarusian singer-songwriter. He has competed in Belarus’ Eurofest twice before teaming up with Maimuna and winning in 2015. Uzari was a backing singer for Anastasia Vinnikova at Eurovision 2011 in Düsseldorf. He has also composed the 2014 Junior Eurovision entry, “Sokol.”

    Maimuna is a classically trained violinist of Malian and Belarusian descent. She has competed in several international competitions, including the 1990 Young Virtuoso competition and the 1996 Music of Hope competition. She has recorded two albums, Queen of Africa and Showtime. Maimuna is the mother of two children, Diana and Philip.

     


  • Uzari competed in the 2012 Belarusian national selection with his song “The Winner” where he finished in 5th place in the final. Uzari tried again at Belarus’ 2013 selection, this time finishing in 8th place with the song “Secret.”

    Uzari tried his luck once more at the 2015 Belarusian selection, this time teaming up with classical violinist Maimuna for the song “Time.” Uzari and Maimuna won the competition and will perform “Time” for Belarus in Vienna.
