Giannis was born is Limassol in 1995. As a child, Giannis listened to artists such as Eminem, Linkin Park and Metallica.
Giannis received his first television experience when he competed in the Cypriot national selection for Junior Eurovision 2007 as a teenager. He finished in 3rd place with his song “Chrysa ftera”Today, Giannis’ musical influences are John Mayor and Ed Sheeran. Giannis has a huge interest in gaming and particularly loves to play online role-playing game, World of Warcraft.
Giannis plans to move to London in the future to study music and record his first album.
In 2007, Giannis competed for the chance to represent Cyprus at Junior Eurovision in Rotterdam. His song, “Chrysa ftera”, finished in 3rd place with 8 points from the jury.
In December 2014, Giannis auditioned for Eurovision Song Project, Cyprus’ selection show for Eurovision 2015. He chose to sing 2004 Cypriot Eurovision entry, “Stronger Every Minute” as his audition song, as well as his song for Eurovision, “One Thing I Should Have Done”. Giannis made it to the ‘Eurochallenge’ stage of Eurovision Song Project and after two ‘Eurochallenge’ shows, to the final.On February 1, Giannis competed against five other acts in the final of Eurovision Song Project. Giannis received the jury’s 10 points and the public’s 10 points. His total of 20 points was enough to win Giannis the ticket to Vienna.
