“Hope Never Dies”

  • Czech singer Marta co-founded the German alternative metal band, Die Happy in 1993. The band has been performing for over twenty years. Their latest album, “Ever Love”, was released last year.

    Marta has participated in Bundevision 2005 with Finnish metal band, Apocalyptica, coming in 5th place. Marta participated in Bundevision once more in 2007, this time with German band, Oomph! They won the contest with the song “Träumst Du?”.

    Václav is a well-know singer, actor and composer in the Czech Republic. At a young age he taught himself to play several instruments. He has been part of the groups Dolares Clan and Noid Crew. He has acted in local productions of musicals and plays and he has acted in the movie, Kajínek, for which he also composed the music.

    Václav released his self-titled debut album in 2013. In the following year, Václav married model Gabriela Dvořáková.

  • In November 2014, the Czech Republic announced it’s return to Eurovision after a five year absence. The Czech broadcaster, ČT, revealed that their entry for Eurovision would be internally selected by an expert jury from five compositions.
    On January 31, Marta and Václav were revealed as the selected representatives. Their song, “Hope Never Dies” premiered on March 10.
