Nina was born in Moscow, Russia in 1995. Shortly after her birth, Nina’s family moved to Georgia where Nina grew up studying sculpture, painting and drawing in art school.
In 2008, Nina was signed to a modelling agency and started her modelling career. In 2011, Nina started working with the Georgian Dream Studio group where she collaborated with Georgian singer Bera Ivanishvili. During this time, Nina worked with several bands and gave concerts all over Georgia.In 2013, Nina competed in, and went on to win the Georgian version of Idol, Sakartvelos Varskvlavi.
Nina recorded her debut album entitled, Dare To Be Nina Sublatti, in 2014.The album was very successful in Georgia.
Nina has several tattoos, which she designs herself. Her musical inspirations are Janis Joplin, Brian Molko and Björk.
In December 2014, Nina was announced as one of the five acts competing in the Georgian national final.
The competition took place on January 14. Nina sang her self-penned song “Warrior”. A public vote and a jury vote chose Nina as the winner, and the Georgian representative for Eurovision 2014.Since the national final, “Warrior” has been reworked by Swedish writer, Thomas G:son and Nina has been working on her staging for Eurovision with Swedish choreographer Sacha Jean-Baptiste.
