Molly was born in Tipperary, Ireland in 1998. She taught herself how to play piano at the age of eleven. Molly first came to prominence when she won the Tipp Teen Idol in 2011.
In 2012, Molly came in second place for Girl’s Vocal Solo at Kilkenny Music Festival. Later that year, Molly was the support act for Northern Irish indie band, Runaway GO, at their concert in Nenagh Arts Centre.In 2014, Molly finished second in All Ireland School’s Talent Search on TV3. She released her debut EP, Strands of the Heart, in November of that year.
Molly now lives in Dublin. Her musical influences include Beyonce, Lana Del Ray, Hozier and Stevie Nicks.
Molly and Greg French wrote “Playing with Numbers” for Molly’s debut album and decided to enter it into Eurosong 2015.
On February 9, Molly was one of the five Eurosong finalists presented on The Ray D’arcy on RTE Radio 1. Eurosong 2015 took place on February 27. After each song was performed, the votes from the Irish juries were revealed.Molly was in third place on the leaderboard. When the public votes were announced, Molly received top votes. This was enough for her to have received the most overall points and win the Irish ticket to Vienna.
