  • Polina was born in Moscow, Russia in 1987. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Athens, Greece, where she grew up. After completing her education, Polina moved back to Russia to live with her grandmother.

    In 2003, Polina competed in Russian singing competition, Fabrika Zvezd and went on to be voted the winner. After the show, Polina was part of short-lived girl group, Playgirls.

    Polina released her debut album, Poprosi u oblakov, in 2005. Her second album, O sebe, was released in 2010.

    In 2012, Polina began working with Russian producer Konstantin Meladze, famous for his project, Ukrainian group, VIA Gra. Polina has released four singles together with Konstantin.

    As well as being a singer-songwriter, Polina is also an actress and has played the lead role in Russian movie, Odnoy levoy. Polina has lended her voice to the dubbing of the Russian versions of the movies Hotel Transylvania and Oz the Great and Powerful.

    Polina has a seven-year-old son, Andrei, with her ex-husband. She is now married to Russian photographer Dmitry Iskhakov.


  • In early March, Russian media revealed that Polina had been internally chosen to represent Russia at Eurovision 2015.

    Later, her song “A Million Voices” was released on YouTube. The ballad was written by a team of Russian, Swedish, and Australian songwriters.
