An all-female team to host Eurovision 2015!

An all-female team to host Eurovision 2015!
  • On December 20, 2014

In 2014 it was two guys and a woman who made up the Eurovision host team, a set-up not seen before.

Austrian national broadcaster ORF has now announced that for the first time, three women will be hosting the big show, with Conchita Wurst hosting the green room!

The main host team will consist of Arabella Kiesbauer, Alice Tumler, and Mirjam Weichselbraun.

Arabella Kiesbauer has more than 30 years of experience in the TV-industry, in both Austria and Germany.

Alice Tumler, being both Austrian and French, will probably carry a lot of the French-speaking segments. Alice has a wide variety of hosting experiences, ranging from live events such as the Life Ball at Vienna City Hall Square, to big TV-shows such as ORF’s Die Grosse Chance.

Mirjam Weichselbraun was already announced as the host of the preliminary rounds of the Austrian selection process for Eurovision 2015, and is a well known TV-presenter having hosted shows such as Dancing With the Stars and MTV award shows.

Conchita Wurst needs no introduction, having won Eurovision for Austria in 2014. She will now get to use her special charisma among the many participants in the green room, having won the job as green room host.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2015 airs live from Vienna on May 19, 21, and 23.
