First ten qualifiers chosen for Eurovision 2017 final!
Minutes ago, the first semi-final of Eurovision 2017 concluded. The juries and the public have chosen our first ten qualifiers for this year's final.
Some of tonight's results came as a surprise to many in the Eurovision community.
After first rehearsals, it was thought by many that Finland would be guaranteed a spot in the final however they did not qualify tonight.
After a colourful stage show, catchy song and the last place draw, it seemed like Latvia would also be a qualifier.
The biggest cheer from tonight's audience was given to Montenegro, another non-qualifier.
Cyprus was not expected to qualify. At rehearsals, Hovig didn't seem entirely comfortable with the choreography.
When the song was released, Belgium was the second favourite to win the entire contest. After some shaky live performances, many expected that Blanche would not even qualify.
The second semi-final of Eurovision 2017 will take place on Thursday.
