Greece to choose Eurovision 2016 entry through national selection
Although the Greek economy may need “One Last Breath” to stay alive, national and newly re-established Greek broadcaster ERT has confirmed that Greece will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016!
The entry for Stockholm will be chosen through a national selection.
ERT back in the Eurovision game
The management board of the Greek broadcaster arrived at the conclusion of using a national selection, which has been common for Greece in recent years. However, ERT has absent in the last two years as the now defunct NERIT ran the show, collaborating with MAD TV.
The efforts of NERIT were not very successful at the Eurovision Song Contest, achieving a 20th and 19th place in the Grand Finals. When ERT was in charge, Greece managed to reach the top 10 every year since 2003, with the exception of 2012.
The format of the show has not yet been revealed and it is still unsure if MAD TV will be a sponsor.
More details to be announced later from the national broadcaster.
