Helena Paparizou and Linus Svenning win the last tickets to the Swedish final!
The Swedish selection Melodifestivalen continued tonight, with eight acts fighting in Andra Chansen for the last two spots in the final.
After the songs were performed, Emmelie de Forest sang the 2014 Eurovision theme “Rainmaker” and her winning song “Only Teardrops,” with 1995 winner Åsa Jinder.
The first round of voting eliminated Ammotrack, JEM, and Ellinore Holmer, though the graphics failed and thus could not show in what positions they placed.
Voting continued, with the Emmelie de Forest and Åsa Jinder interval, before the duels were found. The duels consisted of the entries placing first vs fourth, and second vs third, though the placings were not revealed.
The first duel saw Outtrigger go against Helena Paparizou, who got to perform their songs again as the Swedish public voted for their favorite entry. The second duel saw Linus Svenning go against Martin Stenmarck, which meant that State of Drama was eliminated in fifth place.
Once the second duel was done, the winners of each were announced. They were Helena Paparizou and Linus Svenning, who will complete the line-up of the Swedish final.
