Helena Paparizou to announce the votes for Greece at Eurovision 2015!
George Dalakouras

Celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the very first Eurovision victory for Greece, NERIT, the national broadcaster of Greece, has announced that Helena Paparizou will announce the Greek votes for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015!

It’s the first time that a former participant will announce the votes on behalf of the Greek people.

Helena Paparizou has participated twice in the contest. Back in 2001, she sang “Die for you” as a member of Antique, coming in third place. Four years later, she returned singing “My Number One,” becoming Europe’s Number One indeed!

In 2014, she joined the Swedish Melodifestivalen, singing “Survivor.” She managed to qualify for the final through Andra Chansen, ending up in fourth place!

In related spokesperson news, Mariette of this year’s Melodifestivalen will be giving the Swedish Eurovision vote.

This year, Greece will be represented by Maria Elena Kyriakou with the song “One Last Breath.”
