International team behind San Marino's Eurovision entry revealed!
Last month, it was announced that Serhat would be San Marino’s representative at Eurovision 2016. Details of the team behind the Sammarinese entry have now been revealed.
Serhat’s song has been written by Greek Nektarios Tyrakis, who was also the lyricist of Sakis Rouvas’ “Shake It”. (Greece 2004). The song was composed by the Turkish Olcayto Ahmet Tugsuz, composer of two Turkish Eurovision entries (Turkey 1982 and 1987).
The Sammarinese entry is being recorded at the Piste Rouge Studios in Brussels where it will be arranged by French musician Cyril Orcel. Future arrangements of the song will be done in collaboration with Belgian-African musician Guy Waku.
It has been confirmed that the Sammarinese entry will be recorded in French and Italian, as well as the English version.
The French version of the song is written by Stéphane Laporte, writer of the French versions of several musicals including Grease and Mamma Mia.
The Italian version of the song is written by Italian lyricist Mariella Nava.
San Marino’s entry for Eurovision 2016 is due to be released in March.
