Macedonia changes Eurovision selection process for 2016

Macedonia changes Eurovision selection process for 2016

| On 16, Sep 2015

After a year of ditching internal selection and going back to the Skopje Fest for their Eurovision Song Contest selection, Macedonia has decided to change things up once again.

For the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, Macedonia has decided to scrap Skopje Fest as their selection. It is still unclear how Macedonia will choose their representative for Stockholm, but we now know that the national broadcaster MRT will announce the process shortly.

In 2015, the winner of Skopje Fest 2014, Daniel Kajmakoski represented Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna, Austria with the song “Autumn Leaves.” Unfortunately, the song failed to qualify to the Grand Final, ending up at the 15th place in the semi-final with 28 points.
