MAD VMAs 2017: “This is love” wins Best Video Clip of the Year

 On June 27 the MAD Video Music Awards 2017 took place and many eurostars performed and were nominated in several categories.

Demy who represented Greece this year with was nominated in five categories (Best Female Modern, Video of the Year, Superfans of the year, Best Ballad Video, Best Dance Video). She managed to win one award in the category "Video of the Year" for her Eurovision entry, This is Love.

Demy performed two songs during the show. She presented for the first time her brand - new single M'ekdikise and she also performed a duet with Antonis Remos.

Helena Paparizou was also nominated in several categories (Best Dance Video, Best Female Modern, Video of the Year, Song of the Year). Paparizou won Best Female Modern having beaten Demy, Tamta, Eleni Foureira and Marina Satti.

The Greek queen of Eurovision performed Haide. In addition, she presented her collaboration with Tamta. Helena took the stage one more time to perform with an upcoming artist, Anastasis Rammos.

Eleni Foureira, who was a candidate to represent Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest back in 2010 and a fan - favourite to represent Greece, was nominated in  categories (Best Dance Video, Superfans of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Female Modern, Video with a cause, Video of the Year). Foureira won in Best Video with a cause and Best Dance Video. Ti Koitas, the song which won in Best Dance Video, was supposed to have been sent to ERT to represent Greece last year.

Foureira performed a remix of the To Kati, originally performed by Keti Garbi, who represented Greece back in 1993 with the song Ellada, hora tou fotos.

Sakis Rouvas, Tamta and Kostas Martakis did not manage to win in any category.

The surprising act came from Kristian Kostov. For the second year in a row, the Bulgarian Eurovision act had a place on the Greek awards. Kostov performed his Eurovision entry Beautiful Mess with the Greek rapper SNIK.
