Malta’s national broadcaster, Public Broadcasting Services Limited (PBS), announced that they have received a record-breaking amount of entries for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
PBS received 210 submissions, all vying for a chance to represent Malta in Eurovision 2014. The next step is an eliminatory phase, consisting of a panel of judges listening to all the entries, without the artists being present. The panel will now bring the entry total down to 20.
In January or February, there will be two semi-finals, bring the total down to 14. These 14 will compete in a final, with the winner representing Malta in Copenhagen.
