Malta selects 14 finalists

After 20 artists sang their entries live for the television audience, only 14 made it to the final tomorrow.

Unfortunately, Fabrizio Faniello who represented Malta at Eurovision in 2001 and 2006 did not make it through.


The finalists:

Chris Grech – “Oblivion”
Romina Mamo – “Addictive”
Jessika  – “Hypnotica”
Andreana – “Now and Forever”
Daniel Testa – “One last ride”
Raquel – “Invisible”
Fabrizio Faniello – “Just no place like home”
Wayne William – “Some kind of wonderful”
Ryan Paul Abela – “City lady”
Christabelle  – “Love Tricity”
Pamela – “Take me”
Sophie – “Let the sunshine in”
Franklin  – “Love will take me home”
Miriam Christine – “Safe”
Deborah C – “Until we meet again”
Firelight – “Coming home”
De Bee – “Pin the middle”
Davinia – “Brand new day”
Corazon – “Ten”


Tonight, the contestants were joined by 2013 winner Emmelie de Forest, who sang her winning entry “Only Teardrops.” Also performing was Ukraine’s 2014 entry, Maria Yaremchuk, who sang her song “Tick Tock” in a revamped version, and Maltese bands, Red Electrick and The Crowns.



These 14 artists will perform, once again, tomorrow in the final of the “Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014,” where the winner, and Malta’s representative for Eurovision 2014, will be selected.
