| On 26, Mar 2015

Slovene-croatian artist Martina Majerle competed in the Slovenian selection process for Eurovision this year, EMA 2015. Her entry, “Alive” has now been officially released.

“Alive” is a modern electro-pop ballad with elements of rock. The song was written by Andrej Babić, who has written several Eurovision songs, including Martina’s song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, “Love Symphony”.

Speaking about the song, Martina says that “Personally, the melody itself, took me over more than its lyrics and because of that the recording of the single was  a real pleasure to me, even if the song really hard and challenging. If you will like the song as half as I do, my goal will be complete, because the song is written and sung with a lots of love”.

Martina Majerle is no stranger to the Eurovision stage. She was a backing vocalist for Croatia in 2003, as well as Montenegro in 2008 and 2014.  Martina was the lead singer for Slovenia in 2009 in collaboration with string quartet Quartissimo. She has also done backing vocals for Slovenia in 2007, 2011, and 2012.
