Michael Varosyan to represent Armenia at Junior Eurovision 2015!

It has been announced that the Armenian representative for Junior Eurovision 2015 will be 12-year-old Michael Varosyan.

Michael has been competing in Armenia’s national selection for Junior Eurovision since 2012. This year, he has been internally selected to represent Armenia in Sofia, Bulgaria, later this year.


Already an accomplished artist

Beginning his music career at the age of six, Michael is already an accomplished artist. He has studied music and vocals, and has competed in several competitions. In 2013, Michael participated in the Golden Sparkles competition in Bulgaria where he won second place in the performing competition, third place in the singing competition, and, the award for “most attractive participant”. In the same year, Michael won “Discovery of the year” at the Multiknik award ceremony. The following year, he was given the award for “Song of the year” at the same ceremony.

Also in 2014, Michael began his television career as the host of The Puzzle Show. Michael says his musical influences are Bruno Mars and Michael Jackson.


Song revealed at later date

Michael’s song for Junior Eurovision will be revealed at a later date. Armenia have won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest once, in 2010, with Vladimir Arzumanyan and his song “Mama”. In 2011, the contest was hosted by Armenia in Yerevan. Last year, Armenia’s Betty finished in third place a Junior Eurovision 2014 with “People of the Sun”.


Junior Eurovision 2015 will take place on November 21 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
