Morocco, Kazakhstan, Tunisia, Kosovo send delegations to Vienna!
As well as our usual delegations, it has been revealed that an extra four will make an appearance at the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna!
Perhaps this gives us an insight into debuting and returning countries for next year?
This year, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Kosovo and Tunisia will all send delegations to Vienna to cover the contest for their respective broadcasters.
Morocco entered the Eurovision Song Contest for their first, and to date, only contest. Samira Bensaid represented the African nation with ‘Bitaqat Hob’, finishing in second to last place in Amsterdam.
Tunisia was drawn fourth to participate in Eurovision 1977; however they withdrew from the contest. It is unconfirmed as to why Tunisia withdrew, however, it has been rumored that they did not want to compete with Israel.
Kosovo has been interested in participating in Eurovision since 2009, however they are not full members of the EBU. The same goes for Kazakhstan, who has been broadcasting Eurovision since 2010.
Eurovision week officially starts with the live red carpet event on Sunday, May 17.
