Post-Eurovision interview with Albania's Hersi Matmuja

Post-Eurovision interview with Albania’s Hersi Matmuja
  • On October 4, 2014

It has been almost five months since the Eurovision Song Contest 2014.

We managed to contact the lovely Albanian representative, Hersi Matmuja, and hear a bit about her Eurovision experience and life after Eurovision.

What do you feel after Eurovision?

I can say now that, with everything that I lived in last month, I remember with nostalgia. I am watching photos, videos and I am very happy that I lived this great experience.

In Eurovision which countries was your favorites?

Every song had their own beauty, but specially, I liked Norway, Hungary, Austria, Sweden, and Latvia.

“Everything was so emotional”

How was your Eurovision month in Copenhagen?

Everything was so emotional. Intensive rehearsals at day, and interviews at evening. Everyday was unforgettable.

What do you think about winner song and participant?

Good song, good singer.

“I am really happy that I met
amazing personalities”

In Eurovision month, with which participant(s) (country) did you had the best relation?

Every participant was friendly and charming. I had very good times with Latvian group Aarzemneiki, French group Twin Twin, Sergej of Montenegro, and Valentina from San Marino. I am really happy that I have met such amazing personalities.

Are you still meeting any participant of Eurovision 2014?

I would love to, but it is impossible because of my timelessness and studying.

Is the tattoo of the postcard still in your body?

No, it was just for the postcard.

Do you have any plans for the future (album/song)?

Yes of course. I am working hard for new projects.

“I will feel bad if Albania withdraws
from the contest”

In last month, we had some rumors that Albania will not participate in Eurovision 2015 in Vienna. What do you think about that ?

I have no information about this news. But I will feel bad if Albania withdraws from the contest, because the singer will not have the chance to be part of an event which is as much of a dream as “EUROVISION.”

This month you will be in special party of OGAE Italy. What do you feel about that?

I am feeling very good about invitation from OGAE Italy. It is pleasure for me to be there.

Thank you very much Hersi for this interview. We wish you all the best in your life!
