Preparations start on Eurovision Island

There is less than six months until the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark, taking place on the old industrial island Refshaleøen, which will be renamed to Eurovision Island for the Eurovision weeks.
Now, work has started with clearing the old B&W shipbuilding halls that are currently being used for the storage of props from the Royal Danish Theater, among other things. To create the venue, the two main halls, S1 and S2, will be combined into one space by pulling down the dividers currently in place. This will happen in January and the venue will be handed over to DR on March 1, according to the plan.
DR has created a slideshow of photos from the island which you can see by clicking here.
