Recap of the first dress rehearsal of semi-final 1 of Eurovision 2016!
The first dress rehearsal of the Eurovision Song Contest took place today in Globen, the first time that the show was run from start to end, without breaks or retakes.
Måns Zelmerlöw opens the show after thousands of animated dandelion flowers have come together as the shape of Globen. He performs “Heroes” with the children, near the same as what was seen in Melodifestivalen.
Following this, a short video is played, followed by Måns and Petra entering the stage walking down the LED backdrop.
The 18 songs
Finland opens the show and the songs proceed few hitches. Croatia, Armenia, and San Marino had delayed starts, as the stage was not ready in time. The staff has 40 seconds to clear the stage and get the new act up.
Before the performance of The Netherlands, during the break, a video is shown of Måns and Petra surprising people as cab drivers in a hidden camera gag.
