Report from Eurovision 2015 Semi-Final 1 Qualifiers' Press Conference
After the announcement of the 10 countries that will go on to participate in the Grand Final on Saturday, the qualifiers met for a special press conference.
After a brief two-question Q&A round for each artist, a drawing took place to determine which half each country would perform in the Grand Final.
The press conference conference was pretty uneventful. When Polina GaragIna from Russia was asked if Russia will attempt to mend their deplorable treatment of the LGBT community, Polina evaded the question and said that her song is about love, no matter who you are. She compared the feeling of qualifying to that of having her first son and got tearful when she described how she could see the audience sing along to her song.
Boggie from Hungary was asked what it was like to come right after the upbeat Bojana from Serbia and admitted that she had to take her in-ear out before going on stage when Bojana performs.
Nina Sublatti from Georgia said her song is about being from the small country of Georgia and having to worry about the people who are trying to destroy them. Nina said that she cannot say who, but from recent events, one could assume that she was referring to the Russian invasion into Georgia in 2008.
