Our reporter on the spot, Zara Zeidlitz, met with the two competing acts after the show.
Zara: Congratulations on the spot in the final ! You will be the 9th act up in the final, do you have any thoughts about that?
Boris: No not really, I’m just happy to be in the final!
Zara: You will enter the stage in between Molly Sandén and Frans, two very different songs from yours, what do you think about that?
Boris: You hear what I’m up against! It’s two big names and Frans did a great job in his semi-final and Molly Sandén has been in the game for a long time. It’s amazing!
Zara: Who’s you greatest competition next week?
Boris: For me, just being in the final is great so I do not see the others as competition. When I arrive in Stockholm it will just be a big music festival.
Zara: Last question, will the hat stay?
Boris: What do you think? Yes it stays!
Albin & Mattias
Zara: Unfortunately you missed out on that final spot. Your song has been played on the radio stations in the last few weeks. Did you dare to fantasize about the final?
Albin: No, we thought this battle was a close call that any one of us could win.
Zara: How did you fell about going up agains Boris René?
Mattias: Boris is a nice dude who has an awesome song and dance number. He is a nice guy behind the scenes. He is great, congratulations to him.
Zara: You had a new camera angle in the beginning of your song, what was the thought behind the change?
Mattias: Well the LED screen we used last time did not work the way we wanted it to, so we chose to make it more personal and close-up instead.
Zara: Who do you think will win this year’s Melodifestivalen?
Albin & Mattias: We vote for Robin Bengtsson and Molly Sandén.
The emotional Isa was the first act up in the third battle, where she faced SaRaha and her afro beats.
Winner: SaRaha – Kizunguzungu
In the last battle, the colorful trio Dolly Style met the shirtless duo of Samir & Viktor.
Winner: Samir & Viktor – Bada Nakna
