Results of the first semi-final of the Ukrainian Eurovision selection
After a one year break, Ukraine is back in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Sweden.
National broadcaster NTU and STB revealed eighteen acts who will compete in their selection. The first of two semi-finals took place in February 6 in capital city of Ukraine, Kyiv.
In the show nine acts competed, but only three advanced to the grand final on February 21. Finalists were chosen by 50% jury voting and 50% televoting. The three jury members were Konstantin Meladze, Ruslana (Eurovision 2004), and Andrey Danilko well-known as Verka Serduchka (Eurovision 2007).
The qualifiers to the Ukrainian national final were Jamala with emotional song “1944,” The Hardkiss with their “Helpless,” and “Every Monday” performed by Brunettes Shoot Blondes.

The second semi-final will take place on February 13 and will be broadcast live on UA:Pershyi, STB, and Youtube.
