Roger Cicero passes away at 45

Roger Cicero has passed away at age 45 from a stroke.
Born in a family of musicians in Berlin, Cicero started his music career at age 16 when he made his first TV appearance in the RIAS dance orchestra. He studied jazz singing. His music style was heavily influenced by the 1940s and 1950s swing music.
The 2007 Eurovision representative for Germany
The German singer represented his home country in the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki with the song Frauen regier’n die Welt (Women Rule The World). He released Männersachen, his first solo album in 2006, which sold over one million copies by 2009. In total, Cicero released seven albums.
After his Eurovision participation, Cicero continued his successful career with a role in the German film Hilde, hosting several TV-shows, and performing the official German fan song for the UEFA European Championship in 2012.
Roger died on March 24, 2016, leaving behind a son who was born in 2008. His management asked fans to make donations to the charity Save The Children which Cicero supported.
