Romania: Over 90 songs submitted for Eurovision 2016 selection!
Romanian broadcaster TVR have announced that over 90 songs have been submitted for Selecţia Naţională 2016. The submissions received from both Romanian and international songwriters will now be shortlisted by a professional jury.
“I am extremely happy to see that more and more young talent are interested in the Eurovision Song Contest. Young talent, but not beginners, known and loved by the public, have sent their best songs. They are the first to prove that the Eurovision Song Contest is not only the greatest musical European festival, but also an event that brings hope and aspiration to the participants – and that TVR is the institution which can offer them this chance”, said Iuliana Marciuc, Head of the Romanian delegation and producer of Selecţia Naţională.
Selecţia Naţională’s semi-final will take place on March 4. The final will be held on March 6 in Baia Mare.
