Romania will choose on March 8!
Details of Romania’s national selection have been revealed on Eurovision.tv. It will follow the format of last year’s Selecţia Naţională, in which Paula and Ovi were chosen to represent Romania for the second time.
The first phase of the national selection will begin this month. From January 26 until February 8, applicants can submit their songs. Foreign composers are also welcome to enter their songs. TVR’s jury will review the songs between February 9 and February 11. Twelve songs will be selected to compete for the chance to represent Romania in Vienna this year. The 12 songs are promised equal promotion from TVR in the run up to the final.
TVR will be using one big show to select the winner of Selecţia Naţională. The final will take place on March 8 at 20:00 CET. Viewers will be able to vote only once from a single phone number. A combination of viewer votes and jury votes will select the winner and the Romanian representative for the 60th Eurovision Song Contest.
