San Marino: 2016 Eurovision entry to be revealed on March 9!
This year, as has already been reported, the Turkish singer Serhat will represent the smallest nation in the Eurovision Song Contest, San Marino.
It has now been revealed that the song will be revealed on March 9!
A Turkish, Greek, and French effort
Serhat’s song has been composed by the Turkish Olcayto Ahmet Tugsuz, while the lyrics have been contributed by Nektarios Tyrakis, a Greek musician. The song was recorded in Brussels, and arranged by the French musician Cyril Orcel.
With a pan-European team, the entry is embracing the multicultural spirit of the contest; the team really has Come Together (the slogan for this year’s contest). We will find out on the 9th March exactly how the Sammarinese entry will sound in Stockholm in May, during a presentation ceremony in Paris (15:00 CET), where the video, directed my M.T. Mugler will also be revealed.
English, Italian, and French versions
The entry will be released in English, Italian, and French, with the composer (Tugsuz) being renowned for his Eurovision involvement as a part of the Turkish delegation. It is still unknown which genre the Sammarinese entry will fall into – which type of song are you hoping for?
