It's Sandhja for Finland in Eurovision 2016!
Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2016 concluded last night with Finland selecting Sandhja as the winner of the contest.
She will now go on to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm this May.
The Jury’s Choice but Not the Public’s
The winner of UMK was decided by a 50/50 split between jury and public votes. Sandhja scored extremely well with the jury, however, scored third place in the public voting. But, the jury votes were high enough to carry her to victory with the song “Sing It Away.”
