Serbia joins the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015!
The total amount of competing countries for this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Sofia, Bulgaria is now up to 15, as Serbia has confirmed it will participate in the show.
The country also participated in last year’s contest in Malta, where Emilija Djonin sang “Svet u mojim očima.”
The news were confirmed by the Executive Supervisor of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Vladislav Yakovlev, who had received the news from Serbian broadcaster Radio Televizija Srbije.
No artists or song have been selected yet, as the broadcaster is setting up its plans for how the future Serbian representative will be found.
Vladislav Yakolev expects to at least match last year’s 16 competing countries by September, awaiting at least one more confirmation. With the summer break being over, the national broadcasters are returning to full steam and are able to evaluate their plans for the contest.
