Six Bulgarian Junior Eurovision 2015 finalists selected!
This year, Bulgaria will act as hosts of the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
This week the country’s semi final stages of their national selection took place and a total of six acts were selected to compete in the final.
Semi Final 1
The first show took place on Monday, August 31. A total of six acts competed, with three being selected as finalists. Each act sang a cover of a pop song. The qualifiers were as follows.
- Eleonora Ivanova – “Wrecking Ball”
- Pavel Mateev – “Nikoi”
- Ivan Stoyanov – “Mercy”
Eleonora and Pavel were selected as finalists by the jury and Ivan was selected via a public vote.
Semi Final 2
On Tuesday, September 1, another six acts performed covers of pop songs and another three were selected as finalists.
- Lora Gerdzhikova – “Impossible”
- Simona Ivanova – “Je Veux”
- Filip Filchev – “Easy”
Lora and Simona qualified to the final via the jury vote, and Filip was selected as a finalist by the public vote.
The final of Bulgaria’s selection show will take place on September 6. The winner will represent Bulgaria on home soil at Junior Eurovision 2015 on November 21.
Last year, Bulgaria finished in second place at Junior Eurovision in Malta. They were represented by Krisia, Hasan and Ibrahim with the song “Planet of the Children”.
