Today was the end of the extended deadline for the Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO to decide their participation plans for Eurovision 2014.
And luckily, they decided in favor of participating. This brings the total amount of participating countries to 37, down from 39 last year. This is the lowest since Athens 2006, where 37 also participated.
Additionally, the channel has confirmed that the EMA selection show will be used again to select who will represent the country.
Slovenia last reached the Grand Final in 2011, with Maja Keuc’s “No One.” In spite of an energetic performance, the country came last in the first semi-final last year, when Hannah Mancini sang “Straight Into Love.”
