Slovenia to select through EMA 2015 for Eurovision!
Iain Cameron

RTVSLO has now opened public submission for this year’s edition of EMA, the national selection process for deciding the Slovenian act!

From the collection of entries received, a maximum of six entries will be chosen by a jury panel. In addition to public submission, entries are being commissioned by popular songwriters.

In the final of EMA 2015 there will be 12 acts and voting will be done in two stages. The first stage with the jury selecting two “super-finalists” and the second stage is a televote by the Slovenian public.

This selection process is the same as it was for EMA in 2011, which saw Maya Keuc represent Slovenia and achieve the best result since 2001.

Public submission is open from now until December 21. The rules can be found here and songs can be submitted here.

Tinkara Kovač represented Slovenia in 2014 with the song “Round and Round” and came 25th in the Grand Final.
