Swedish newspapers reveal Eurovision 2016 hosts
As we eagerly await the official announcement of who will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 next year, a few tabloid papers in Sweden have already published the names.
Both Aftonbladet and Expressen report that the two favorite front runners Petra Mede and Måns Zelmerlöw will co-host the event, set place to take in the Globen venue.
Petra is no stranger to Eurovision fans, as she got rave reviews for her solo duties as host of the ESC 2013 in Malmö, even being invited back to take part in the special 60th Anniversary show in London earlier this year. She will also co-host the first semi-final of Melodifestivalen in Gothenburg on February 6.
A clear favorite
Måns was a clear favorite to host as he had expressed interest to do so since his victory at the Eurovision 2015 in Vienna. Måns is no stranger to hosting duties, having hosted Melodifestivalen and the popular program Allsång på Skansen in the past.
If true, might we be treated to a mega-musical number with Måns and Petra at the song contest next year?
The official announcement from SVT is set to come on Monday at 14:00 CET during a press conference taking place in Globen.
