The selection process

The 19 acts will perform live in front of an expert team but only six of them will advance to the final, based on their live abilities, singing qualities, and stage presence.  The fans will be able to watch the selection process live on the SRF website.

On February 13, 2016, the six finalists will perform their entries as well as an additional cover version of a song in a live show.  The final will take place in the Bodensee Arena in Kreuzlingen. The Swiss representative will be chosen by a 50/50 split vote between an expert jury and televote.
