Switzerland’s primary broadcaster, SRF, announced the process for the submission for songs. It will once again be a partnership of broadcasters SRF, RTS, RSI, and RTR.
It will consist of three stages:
- SRF and RTR will search for entries through the internet platform. Entries must be submitted in the form of audio and video, uploaded to the internet site from September 29 to October 27, internet voting will commence on the platform, open to citizens in Switzerland and abroad. At this point, RSI and RTS will begin to internally search for their candidates.
- The top nine internet submissions (6 from SRF and 3 from RTR), based on 50% internet votes and 50% opinions of a panel of experts, will be submitted by SRF and RTR as their initial selections. RTS will submit six entries of their own, and RSI will offer three. These 18 entries will be performed live before a panel of experts (“Expert Check”), which will further bring the final total to six.
- The top three entries from SRF/RTR, top two from RTS, and top entry of RSI will then perform live on a televised national final, live from the Bodensee-Arena in Kreuzlingen on January 31, 2015. The winner of the show will be determined based on 50% from the televote of television viewers and 50% from the opinions of an expert jury.
The winner of the final will go on to represent Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Austria.
